REFOCUS: Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus

As we stand at the edge of a new year, it’s easy to feel pulled in a hundred different directions. Voices compete for our attention, distractions creep in, and the weight of life can leave us feeling unfocused and worn down.
In this message, we begin the REFOCUS series by anchoring ourselves in Hebrews 12 and hearing the call to fix our eyes on Jesus—the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. We explore how what we focus on shapes how we live, how even good things can become dangerous distractions, and how laying down unnecessary burdens allows us to run the race God has marked out for us with endurance and hope.
This sermon is a reminder that following Jesus isn’t about perfection or performance—it’s about focus, perseverance, and trusting Him one step at a time. As we look ahead, this message invites us to quiet the noise, refocus our hearts, and step forward with clarity, peace, and faith.
