Next Steps >>>
No matter where you are in your journey, there’s always a next step. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to move forward.
Here are three simple next steps you can take at Snover Heritage Church.
Give Your Life to Christ
Following Jesus isn’t about joining a church or becoming more religious. It’s about beginning a relationship with Him.
The Bible tells us that every one of us has sinned and fallen short of God’s perfect standard (Romans 3:23). Sin separates us from God. But God didn’t leave us there.
Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Jesus lived the life we couldn’t live and died the death we deserved. And He didn’t stay in the grave. He rose again, offering forgiveness and new life to anyone who trusts Him.
Salvation isn’t earned — it’s received.
Ephesians 2:8–9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith… not of works, so that no one can boast.”
And Romans 10:9 tells us, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
To give your life to Christ means:
- You admit you’re a sinner in need of a Savior.
- You believe Jesus died and rose again for you.
- You confess Him as Lord — not just Savior, but leader of your life.
- You turn from your old life and begin following Him.
It’s not about perfect behavior. It’s about surrender.
If you’re ready, you can pray something as simple as:
“Jesus, I know I need You. I believe You died for me and rose again. Forgive me. Be the Lord of my life. I’m choosing to follow You.”
There’s no magic in the words — it’s about the posture of your heart.
And if you’ve drifted and want to recommit your life to Him, today can be that day too.
This is the most important step you will ever take.
Be Baptized
Baptism is an important step in your walk with Jesus.
Throughout Scripture, when people responded to the gospel, baptism followed. It wasn’t treated as optional or secondary — it was part of stepping into new life with Christ.
Jesus Himself instructed it.
In Matthew 28:19, He said, “Go therefore and make disciples… baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
On the day the church was born, Peter preached and the people asked what they should do. His response was clear:
“Repent and be baptized…” (Acts 2:38)
And Acts 2:41 tells us that those who received the message were baptized.
Again and again in the book of Acts, belief and baptism go hand in hand. It is a step of obedience that Scripture points to over and over.
Romans 6:4 says:
“We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that… we too might walk in newness of life.”
Baptism beautifully reflects:
- Being buried with Christ
- Being raised to new life
- Stepping forward in obedience to Him
It marks a turning point — a moment of saying yes to the life Jesus is leading you into.
If you’ve given your life to Christ and have not been baptized, this is an important next step in your journey.
You don’t have to have everything figured out. You simply take the step He has placed in front of you.

Become a Member
Church isn’t meant to be something you attend occasionally. It’s a family you belong to.
Membership at Snover Heritage Church means:
- You align with our beliefs and mission.
- You commit to growing spiritually.
- You serve and use your gifts.
- You help us reach our community for Christ.
The early church modeled committed community. Acts 2:42 says they “devoted themselves” to teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer.
Membership is simply saying:
“This is my church home. I’m not just attending — I’m invested.”
If you’re ready to take that step, we’d love to help you get connected and walk you through the process.
