In Week 1 of our This Is Us series, we began our journey through Matthew 18 by asking a simple but important question: What kind of church family is Jesus calling us to become?

In Matthew 18:1-4, the disciples asked Jesus who was the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Instead of pointing to power, position, or recognition, Jesus pointed to a child and taught that true greatness begins with humility.

Together, we explored what it means to be a church that is humble and teachable—a church that remains dependent on God, values others above ourselves, and never stops growing in our faith. We were reminded that pride pushes people away, but humility draws people in; that spiritually healthy people remain teachable; and that Jesus values servant hearts over status.

As we continue this series, we'll keep looking at the kind of culture Jesus desires for His church—not just what we believe, but how we live together as the family of God.
